Now that she has joined Merck, new doors are opening in the local medical community. “Boston is really a powerhouse of oncology research,” said Dr. Richon, “and Merck has chosen this site here in the middle of that community, and isDr. Victoria Richon really promoting the kind of collaboration and interaction with clinicians and  researchers that we need to develop our cancer research program. I can walk out the door and share ideas with colleagues in the Longwood medical area, or just go across the river to visit any of the great institutions in Cambridge. In fact, our network of collaborations extends around the world, all the way to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia.”
